HOW HIGH ARE MY CHANCES

Hello ladies,

My RE is about to start the IVF (ART) procedure on me. I am so excited but nervous and scared at the same time.  I was wondering if anyone can tell me what my chances are of this working. I am 26 years old and have had 3 surgeries in the past 8 months to have Pylops removed. My Re currently have me on bithcontrol pills so i can have a cycle. I am so concerned becuase this procedure is so so so expensive. If anyone thats has had the procedure done or is in the same situaion or just anyone that can tell me what my chances are i would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Success of ivf depends on age and reasons for infertility.  Since you will definitely produce eggs with ivf protocol I think your chances are higher than for most of us.

I'll be looking for your updates.

The reason for my infertility is a number of things. First I  was diagonised with PCOS and my RE put me on Metformin, but the side effects was so horrible for me I stopped taking the meds. Becuase of the PCOS I dont have regular cycles, I could go a whole year without having one. And becuase of having no cycles the Pylops continue to grow.

I am so excited about the IVF but I just dont want to get my hopes up too high.

Thankyou so much for replying. No I am not using a donor, I am married and my husband is 28 years old. My Re checked my husband sperm specimen some moths back  and he said everything looked fine.

Keep my posted on your IVF process adn I will do the same. Girl this is gonna be a journey but we can do it. And good luck to you and your husband  :-)

I am on b/c as well this cycle.  Hope to start my ivf meds in about 2 weeks.  Given your age your chances are very good.  Did they ever found reasons for infertility?  Were polyps a problem?  If so then your chances should be super-good after your surgeries.

Given how expensive ivf is I am also super anxious about the outcome.
Good luck to you!

Hi! My husband and I are on the IVF road as well, first child for both of us. I am 29 and he is as well. I have also had surgery to remove polyups, scar tissue and adhesions. Everyone is so different-so it is hard to say what your chances are exactly. But honestly, I think you have a great great chance of this working out for you! Patience is the key, so much wating involved.  My RE is extremely confident that we will get pregnant. Just recently they found a uterine fibroid but it is not going to cause any problems-they are just going to remove it. I am sorry, I don't know if you are married, have a partner your doing this with or if you are going to use a donor but it also depends on the sperm specimen. I think you should go for it-it is so so so expensive but picture holding your little one for the first time! Makes it all worth it :) Good luck to you!
