Calling all Sept, and Oct. Mommies!!

So girls just thought maybe we could start a thread so we can enjoy the 9 or 8 months together!  I just found out I'm preg. on Monday and I think my due date is Oct. 17th.  I keep seeing so many BFP lately that I thought this might be a good idea...any future mommies care to chat?

Hi ashort my due date is Oct.16 We are almost on the same track. I had the first u/s yesterday and we saw the sac but looked a little small. It was 5mm Monday i'm gonna have my beta result. I'm so scared that this pregnancy is not gonna go well. I had 2 m/c and if this doesn't go well i'm not gonna have the courage to get pregnant again.

Hi ashort and Jenny5. My due date is Sept. 4. I became pregnant after IVF, so I have an ultrasound every week- up week until 12 weeks. It is amazing that by 11 weeks you can see arms, legs, 2 brain hemispheres, etc. I'm excited but nervous. I would love to join your group!

Hi girls!  So I definately am feeling more and more preg.  Tonight we went out for a nice dinner and I ordered what I thought I wanted, took one bite, and decided that I didn't want it.  The best part of the meal with the berries I had for dessert...how sad.

I think I'm  weeks today...but not sure.  I go for a sono on Wednesday.  My first beta on Mon. was 76 and my second on Wednesday was 292.  I can't wait to see the baby or sac...whatever it is.

Jenny-  I know what you mean about being nervous and all.  I think I'm still in shock.  I got a neg. last Fri and by Sun it was a very faint BFP.  I had a m/c in June at 7 weeks so I'm really scared too.  I'm just waiting for the ball to drop....waiting for ba news.  I'm trying to stay positive.  I keep doing the bbs check every 5 mins...they are still sore...LOL.  I guess we will both have to stay postivie and hope for the best.  If you are 5 weeks too they aren't supposed to see that much are they.  I know at my last sono at 5 weeks the baby looked like a dot...then again I had a m/c so who knows if that's what it was supposed to look like??

lynda-  Sept. 4th is my wedding anniversary and the first day dh and I met...good date!  That's nice that you get to see the baby every week.  Are they going to discharge you to your OB soon?  I need to find a new one...not happy with my old one.  Personally I wish my RE could deliver the baby I feel so comfortable there.  Are you showing yet?

Hello ladies and welcome to motherhood. I'm scared and excited all in one. I just got my BFP on the 14th so I think I'll be due October 28th. I don't get to do another blood all the way till Tuesday because my clinic doesn't do blood tests on weekends (Go figure) and Monday is a holiday for us in Ontario Canada. I just want to know if the numbers went up. I was 322 when I tested so by Tuesday I should be in the thousands... I think but who knows.

It's so great going through this with you guys

I just happened upon your post... Congratulations on the BFP!!  That's so awesome!

Once I found out I was pregnant I sort of switched over to the "pregnancy" forum (but I check on this one every so often).

I think at one point we had a similar 2ww cycle.  So that's really great to see the good news.  =)  I found out back in January that I was pregnant... my due date is September 3rd.  So we're only a month or so apart.  Any nausea yet?  I'm 12 weeks tomorrow and my nausea is still kickin' full force!  Totally worth it, though.

Anyway... I'm so happy I saw your post... congrats again!!

Desparado-  I saw your post Congrats!  322 is good.  I was 292 on Wednesday and I was 18DPO.  So 322 is really good...I know I was in the average range.  My numbers doubled from Mon. to Wed.  My progesterone is low so I'm on  suppositories which are yucky but for a good cause!  I go back on Wednesday for my first sono.  Was 322 your first beta?  Any symptoms for you?

Wendy!  Hey I remember you...yeah we talked for a while.  I think I'm going to do both this forum and the pregnancy 35+ forum.  I'm only 30 but the ladies on there have a lot of knowledge.  Maybe I will check out the pregnancy forum...  I have a little nausea but it just started today  I was in hte car and not looking out the front window so I think that played a part in it.  I am VERY hungry but can't manage to eat the things I think I want to eat.  I'm extremelly TIRED.  Having some slight cramps and sore bbs.  Oh and I'm a b*tch...LOL. ...poor dh.  Wow, 12 weeks you are far!  Did you do IUI...I'm trying to remember??  I stopped the clomid and was off it two months.  This month I used preseed and bam...PREGNANT!  You should feel better soon...almost the end of your first trimester!

When I did the actual blood work 11DPO the nurse said my numbers were 322. Is that high and does it mean maybe more than 1? Not sure of anything and won't know nothing until Tuesday. I have 2 more long nights until Tuesday. I'm glad your numbers doubled  that's a great sign. I am using 1 progesterone supp at night so far guess I'll find out if I need more the nurse made me buy more saying I'll be needing them for the next couple of weeks. Yucky but yes well worth the yuck. LOL

You seem to be 2 weeks ahead of me. So is U/S done 4 weeks since last period or 4 weeks since ovulation? Not sure. As for symptoms I am feeling slight back pain and slight cramping it feels like my normal pms symptoms. The cramps make me a bit nervous but I am still staying positive. Oh yeah sore boobies too, and slight headache/dizziness first thing in the morning. What if any are your symptoms? I'm so gad I have support through this because right now only my DH and my med help buddies know I am pregnant. Too scared to tell others just yet.

Tired... hungry... b*tchy...  yup, been there (hmm... come to think of it, I'm still there)!  Lol... I was SOOO hungry at the beginning (started right around the 6 week mark).. still am actually.  And it is funny... you'll feel so hungry and you think what sounds really good is a big hamburger and fries, and then as soon as the meal is in front of you, the idea of eating it makes your stomach churn.  The few things that always taste good are fruit and juice and oddly enough, anything salty (it seems like a cliche, but man, dill pickles have never tasted so good).

That's awesome that the preseed worked for you... I've heard great things about it on this forum.  For me, oddly enough it was a total and complete surprise/miracle.  We had the m/c in November and we were told to wait until mid-January to try again... we didn't stop the "recreational" portion of it (ie: BDing), but we weren't told to b/c I don't ovulate on my own (we had to go through the Provera, injectables, IUI just to get that first pregnancy).  So wasn't I blown away when I took a HPT in late January and it was a bfp!  I only took the test on a complete whim.. I was feeling bloated and had that "full" feeling like I did for the first pregnancy, so I figured I might as well eliminate that as a possibility (I figured I'd had too much Christmas food/drinks).  I know it sounds cheesy, but being that we never thought we could do it on our own, it was just a miracle that I got pregnant.

I'm so happy for you... you'll definitely have to keep us all posted on your ultrasounds/etc.

Wendy80   Hi. I'm due Sept.4, 1 day after you. I'll be 12 weeks in a couple of days also.     Like you I'm still nauseated- but also very tired. Do you still feel tired?

Desparado- Congratulations! Your numbers look great. I was 268 on first beta, 4 days later I was 1,839. I had IVF with embryo transfer, both eggs implanted and one split. Only 1 had a heartbeat on ultrasound. I was actually relieved because I'm 44 and the thought of twins/triplets was overwhelming. Can't wait to hear your next set of numbers! It looks kind of high!

ashort- I like you, love my current Doctor. This is my last week with him and my last "weekly ultrasound". I have to switch to a regular OB. My current Doctor only follows you to 12 weeks. It will be really strange to only go to the Doctor once a month! I'm not showing yet. I've been really nauseated-so I'm happy that I haven't lost weight. How are you feeling?

Desparado-  I think 322 sounds high for 11DPO but I'm not positive....I know my numbers were average so I think yours sound high.  I was 15 DPO with 76 and on I was 17DPO with 292.  I hope your appointment goes well on Tues.  I know how you feel about waiting b/c I have to wait also.  I can't wait to see the baby but every day I get more and more nervous.  The last time I had an u/s when I was preg. they told me the pregnancy wasn't viable so I'm sooooo scared to here that again....

Wendy-  I feel the same way you feel about food.  I love mangos and berries right now.  I actually think I ate too much b/c I had diarrhea sorry TMI.  We went to Hooters and I had french fries and wings too.  I kind've wished I was getting sick though b/c not having morning sickness kind've makes me nervous...everything makes me nervous.  That's great that you got BFP on your own.  That happened to me the first time.  Are you showing yet?

Lynda-  I hope my RE sees me that long.  I'm not sure that he will though.  We conceived naturally so I'm thinking he will keep me maybe a couple more weeks.  I'm still tired, sore bbs, a little dizzy here and there, some slight cramps here and there.  At 12 weeks do you still have a lot of your symptoms

Does anybody know can you take Tums when you are preg?  At 5 weeks and 4 days do you think the baby just looks like a dot or is there a sac...can you see anything?

Hello Mommies!

I got my BFP on Friday and am due on October 25th. We went in today for a second HCG and hormone level check. THey draw on the weekend but don't run the blood until Monday. It is so exciting to see you all here with BFP it has been a long haul and hooray for us all.

I know how you feel about being scared to hear anything negative. We haven't told anyone else except my med help pals and it's killing me. I just couldn't go through having to tell people about my BFP then having to tell them I'm not if anything goes wrong. My biggest fear is ectopic because I had a tubal reversal and that's one of the main side effects. And you know all the other fears so I won't even get into it.

Deep in my heart I believe we will get through this. We will be comparing labour experiences soon. This is our year 2008.
So is U/S done 4 weeks since last period or 4 weeks since ovulation? Not sure.

desparado:  Yup... still tired.  I don't feel quite as tired as I did a month ago (I could have easily taken a nap at my desk at work)... but I am usually ready to crash by the end of the day (naps here and there... especially on the weekend).  If I could trade one away, I would definitely get rid of the nausea and keep the tiredness (I hate feeling this sick all day... I can't wait for it to pass).

ashort:  I'd say don't wish for morning sickness... lol.  A lot of women are actually lucky enough not to have ANY morning sickness (like my mom for all 3 of us kids).  I actually felt perfectly fine up until around 6 weeks.  Now I'm just waiting for it to go away.  Oddly enough, I could actually notice a difference in the size of my belly as early as 7 weeks.  I wasn't actually "showing" yet, but my pants had already started getting tighter and within the next week I started getting a little tiny pooch to my lower belly.  I'm on the thinner side, so I think it's bound to show sooner... right now, I'm officially starting to look more pregnant (as opposed to looking like I've had one too many donuts).  Oh... and yes, you can take Tums/Mylanta/Tylenol... unfortunately, not much more than that.  Your HCG #'s sounded really good, by the way.  They tripled in 2 days... that's great!

lynda:  I would have loved to stay with my RE for that long.  I think he officially discharged me to my OB when I was around 7 weeks (having viewed 2 ultrasounds and been happy with both).  I liked them all so much... the entire staff was wonderful.   My OB is fine... they're just not as "involved" with the patients (plus I miss having a weekly u/s, like you said).  I'll see him once a month up until the middle of the pregnancy (then I'll see him every other week).  I'm bummed that the next u/s won't be until around 18-20 weeks... but it's the big one... we get to find out the gender!

jastinker-  How did your HCG test go today?  Hope everything went well.

desparado-  Unfortunately I've told a lot of people about my BFP.  I know I shouldn't have but we've been trying and everybody knows that.  It's so hard to keep it from people b/c people are always asking me.  My MIL, FIL, Dh's grandfather, my parents, some friends, and some people from work know.  I think I will tell the rest of my family at Easter.  My b-day is March 13th so I was considering telling them then but I will only be 9 weeks at that point.  I don't know why but I was really nervous about an ectopic too.  I've never had one before but when my HCG was 76 I was a little nervous that it wouldn't double.  I'm not sure about your u/s question.  I think your HCG has to be over a 1,000 before they can see anything.  I think at about 5 weeks they do an u/s ( 5 weeks since LMP).  How are you feeling?

Wendy-  I can't wait to get to the point your at..It must be so cool to see a little belly.  I'm not looking forward to the, "I've eaten too many doughnuts phase" but the belly would be cool.  I'm about 119 and 5 feet one inch tall so I think I'm just going to be one fat momma...LOL.  Although my friend who is 8 1/2 months preg. looks so good and she's not that tall.

So girls I think my uterus is expanding at night mainly.  It seems like I get more cramps then.  I keep feeling my belly to see if it's any different...not yet.  I've also been getting up at night to pee.  I'm a teacher and school is closed this week so it's so nice to be off...so relaxing!  Hope everybody is doing well!

ashort:  I think it all depends where those organs get squished around... and how much space you have in there to begin with.  I'm 5'4" and around 130 lbs and I think b/c my stomach was flat(ter) to begin with, as soon as stuff started shifting around and expanding, it just started pushing forward (giving that "excessive donut" impression we talked about).  My friend is almost 2 months ahead of me (I think she's maybe 4 1/2 months pregnant)... but you wouldn't know it by looking at her (aside from that pregnant-momma glow).  =)  I'm sort of glad that I'm showing early... I've heard some people say they didn't even really start showing until the 6th month.  I'm just so damn happy I'm pregnant, I want everyone in the world to know it by seeing my belly!

Wow... enjoy that week off from work/school.  I had today off for President's day and that was a big thrill for me!

Wendy-  So I love fruit...lol.....fresh fruit, fruit pops, fruit juice...I sound like Forrest Gump...LOL  I guess I could crave much worse things!

Well people at work have thought I was preg. about 6 months ago...LOL.  I gained maybe 5 lbs and everybody was asking me.  It's funny b/c they are all heavy and basically were calling me fat...LOL.  I have to go to  Vegas for my friend's wedding in May and I will be 16 weeks at that point.  I'm thinking what kind've bathing suit do I wear.  I'm in the wedding so that's even scarier.  I really don't want to go but I don't know how to tell her.  She was my maid of honor..so I have to go.

Could you be farther along then you thought?

Hi Ashort- My tests were great, HCG up to 138 on day 12 post transfer, progesterone came back up to 19.5 and estrogen at 450! I am very happy. We have told a lot of people as well, it is just too hard to hold it in. I know it sounds crazy, but i feel like I am getting full way faster. I am just so happy.

Wendy- Are you a teacher as well. We had today off, but as I had to attend a conference I spent the day flying and praying I was not overdoing it.

I am happy to have found some mommies to go through the next 8 months with!

Ouch.. b/c you gained 5 pounds, you had co-workers asking you if you were pregnant??  Bad form on their part... I don't think it's ever safe to ask someone if they're pregnant unless they're wearing a big shirt that says, "Yup, I'm Pregnant".  =)

I hear your pain on the friend's wedding.  I have my brother-in-law's wedding to go to in April... so I'll be about 21 weeks at that point.  Luckily I'm not in it (so sorry for you.. that would suck)... but I'm intentionally not thinking about what I'll wear until right before the wedding (we'll see how big the belly is by then).  So are you her maid-of-honor or a bride's maid?  I bet she'd understand if you told her in advance (about not wanting to go), but I bet at 16 weeks you'll look cute.  You'll have the little pregnant belly popping out probably.. and you'll get a lot of "awwww's" from people.  As with the dress, I don't even want to think about what sort of bathing suit I'll be wearing in July when I'm 7 months pregnant.

Well, the only way we have an actual due date and conception date is based on the size of the little wee-one in my belly.  Because it all just happened "randomly", we had no idea of the actual conception date... but they can give a pretty accurate date based on the size of the embryo/fetus.  Actually, come to think of it... I definitely couldn't be farther along b/c my estimated conception date is only a couple weeks after my miscarriage (so it really couldn't be any sooner than that).

Congrats on your good news!  You must be very excited.  Will this be your first pregnancy/child?

Hi Wendy, This will be our second IVF babe. I have an almost 4 yo DD from our first IVF cycle. She has been praying for a little brother or sister for a long time. How about you, is this your first?

Hi guys, I'm hoping to join this group.  I got a BFP on Sunday at 16DPiui I just did my blood test this morning and waiting for results.  If it confirms the BFP I'll be due somewhere around Holloween time still making the October club.

For now my symptoms are: sore bbs sleepy most of the time and on and off cramps.  Also, tummy feels very tight so when I stand after sitting for a while I have to do it carefully because otherwise I get a bad cramp that feels like something's gonna rip down there.  I'm just very anxious to get the blood results back.

Jastinker-  I'm a teacher.  I teach 3rd grade.  Are you too?  I'm glad to hear your blood tests went well!  I don't think they checked my estrogen...hmmmmmm.

Wendy-  Yeah, I couldn't believe it either.  It's just weird b/c I seemed to have gained all my weight in my belly.  So I guess I looked preg....LOL.  Yeah, Vegas is going to be really bad but I HAVE to go.  She was my maid of honor.  She's a different story.  She's been my bf since kindergarten.  She actually was like a sister to me but we have grown apart.  She lives in Delaware so we don't see eachother much.

Lexima and clm0313- welcome!  Lexima, how was your blood test?  I go tomorrow for my first sono. so I'm a little nervous.  Clm, hope your numbers double...did you get them?

I went to Target today and kept looking over towards the maternity section.  It's so funny b/c I want to get excited but I keep reminding myself that it's early.  It is good that we all shouldn't need maternity clothes until the spring so we don't have to worry about winter...actually we will never have to buy winter maternity clothes...YAY!!
