Ultrasound Results

Hi everyone.. Just wanted to let you know I got back from the doctors.. They had me do another Vagional Ultrasound and good news there is Now a Yok Sac :) I was so pleased and the doctor was to, she will see me again in 2-weeks I didnt have to give blood today, cervix is closed and she did see a little peanut but is concerned on what was on the outside but not to where I am at huge risk. She did however say I can still have a miscarriage, but she didnt seem so concerned at this point.. Everything looks good and she said I am about 6-weks which I am only about 4-weeks if that and U/s tech still doesnt match up, but I'll let them think whatever. Good news I can start taking my vitamins again and bad news is I cant have sex for 2-weeks :( I know that shouldnt matter but OMG Thats crazy, I know to much info :) I am happy and I just knew giv it time peanut will grow :) Thanks ladies for all the support means alot. I wil keep you updated when I know more..

that is great news.  The reason they keep saying your 6wks is because they count the two wks that the eggs is developing.  So from the first day of your cycle when the eggs start going until when you ov that is two weeks.  Then you ov and from that day is four wks.  So all together it's six weeks.

i am so happy for you. That jsut goes to show, these Drs are too wuick to end our pregnancies some times. I'm so glad you decided to wait. Now you can start to enjoy your pregnancy

Thanks so much. Needless to say I didnt understand the weeks but I was relieved, she still thinks I am not out of the water yet but she doesnt seem that concerned as no more going every 2-days I go back in 2-weeks and will see from there. I assume within 2-days since now I can see a yok sac I am sure they will see a complete baby I pray everyday everything will be ok and maybe I can hear a heartbeat.. I appreciate all your support I was excited when I left but I still get worried I will just keep hoping and I dont want to give up on my little peanut yet :)

babybaw-  I am so happy to hear of this great report! I was so worried about you all day!  This is great news! Congrats!  Usually you count how many weeks pg you are by your last monthly period.  It sounds funny, but that is what they do, so they are most likely correct about you being 6weeks along (even if your baby has only been there for four weeks).  Well, go home and relax and be happy!  I'm so happy for you!

I read some of your previous posts and understand you had an IUI...I'm not sure if they count the same as if you conceived during a normal cycle, but if they do, then they would count back 2 weeks form the IUI or ovulation date...so that would put you at 6 weeks (the gestational age of the egg would only be 4 weeks).

Congrats on seeing the yolk sac and I hope you have a healthy and happy nine months :)

Thanks.. Well they think I am at risk for miscarriage dont understand why as my cervix is closed I dont feel any pain, they are thinking I am like 6-weeks when I am not I am just pushing 4-weeks, maybe I ovulated or implanted late. They dont want me to disturb the cervix at all and its where its suppose to be so no stretching of my stomach at all. I am bummed about it but will listen to the doctor

that is incredible news and i am so excited for you; i am in the same situation as you and has to go back in the hospital on 8/28, but i have one curious ? why can' t you have sex until the new u/s because when they told me to wait they said nothing about not having sex so plz let me know.
