did acupuncture help you conceive??

Ok so I have looked through the archives and all I have found was a few posts on acupuncture and IVF.  We are starting our 5th round of follistim and IUI and i'm strongly considering doing acupuncture this cycle.  Does any one have success stories, even friends success?  I'm not sure what else to try I tried the "pineapple diet" last cycle during my tww to no avail.  I really just need some reassurance that someone with problems ttc was assisted by acupuncture.  All they info I found on google was for unexplained fertility.  I'm not unexplained I have PCOS Is there anyone with a documented reason for infertility that was able to conceive after or during acupuncture treatments?  Kind of a wordy question, sorry.

I started acupuncture a week or so before I started my stims.  We conceived on our first round of IVF.  I am currently 12 weeks with twins!  I recommend it, as long as you find someone who specializes in fertility and ensure that you like and trust your practitioner.  Good Luck!

I have been ttc since last 1.5 years and been on clomid since last two cycles; I just started acupuncture sessions last week so too early to say if it worked for me ...
I have heard only  good things about it and if nothing else, it atleast helps me relax and be calm ..

My dr told me there is no research that proves accu works but he has many patients that have gotten pregnant doing acupuncture. I have unexplained secondary infertility and I was dpi g accu 3 mos before ivf and got pregnant after 8 weeks I miscarried tho. It can't hurt you and I always felt really good after my sessions. Good luck!

I was wondering the same thing. I have my first accupuncture session tomorrow. I am also taking viatmin e, has anyone had any success with vitamin e to help with the lining? I am also taking provera to help thicken the lining. So I am trying everything. If all goes well with the lining we will do FET in July.

Good luck, I really have only heard good things about accupuncture from other ladies and my doctor so what the  heck will try it.

I think it's hard to know what finally "works" for people w/ infertility.  I know someone who miscarried several times but when she did fertility drugs and iui along w/ acupuncture, she got pregnant and carried the baby to term.  But was it the fact she had more eggs released on the follistim or was it the acupunture?  Hard to tell.
I do acupuncture b/c I figure it can't hurt and it's calming.  I also think it helps blood flow to the uterus, which is good.
I don't know much about PCOS but if you can afford it or if your insurance covers it, I say go for it. Just make sure you find an acupuncturist that specializes in fertility treatment.
Good luck
