Positive OPK?

Ok ladies, I have decided to use OPKs this month...this is my first time to ever use them. It's actually pretty cool! Too bad I'm not seeing the 2 lines on a HPT though. lol. Anyway, my problem is the test line is 2 different shades, and I dont know whether its postive or not. one side of the test line is darker than the control line and the other side of the line is lighter. I've read conflicting info online about this. One site said that means positive, and another said that 50% of the line has to be darker. Like I said, I have never used an OPK before so I'm at a total loss here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and if u have any helpful advice on some tips to use when taking it would be awesome! I've been taking it in the evening.

Thanks for ur help. I'll definitely try the digi next month. I tested again today, and got a lighter line all the way through, so I guess what I had before was it. Who knows...

It really depends on the brand. Some brands say it has to be the whole line "as dark as" others are 50% or more. To take the mystery and guessing out, try a digital when you get a hard to read stick. I use the cheap sticks until I get what looks like a pos, then using the same urine, re-test with a digi. The digis are $$ so this can save a lot, lol
