hi

My husband suffers from a blockage in the spermatic cord . so my fertility specialist advice us to do IVF. Is it possible that the blockage can affect the motility and the strength of the sperm ? because i heard that inorder the sperm be more stronger must at least ejaculate twice a week But the sperm doesn't come out throw ejaculation  ?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
What is the cause of his spermatic cord blockage? The spermatic cord transports the sperm from each testis to the penis and any blockages will cause infertility. The common causes are vasectomy, infection and some sexually transmitted diseases. It is important to treat the cause for expecting results. You may need a complete evaluation by a urologist. Treatment will depend on the cause. I hope it helps.
Best luck and kind regards!
