Hello, Thank you for your reply. I am sorry to hear about your experience, I hope everything works out for you.
With mine, I have not had any part of my uterus removed, but it was ruptured therefore the surgeon repaired it but then advised me not to have any more children as the tear was at the weakest point (neck of the womb/tube) and there is a high risk of rupture in any future pregnancy as it is a tear rather than a cut.
Yes I am seeking a second opinion at the moment. The new surgeon did not seem so concerned and is currently studying the medical report from the operation.
Will keep you posted.
Let me know your news.
Hello there
I had a cornual pregnancy in March after two weeks in hospital as they wanted to see if there was enough bordering endometrium for the baby to survive (as we had ivf - i had both tubes removed 3 years ago).
Two weeks in they did an exploratory laproscopy and the foetus started to rupture during their examination.
I have been back for my follow up a few weeks ago and my Consultant is happy that the womb is healing properly and is confident he should be able to give me sign off to do ivf again in September.
Do you know what percentage of your uterus was removed?
Are you able to go for a second opinion?
Unless a large part of your uterus was removed I am not sure why they would be advising you against pregnancy in the future with good care
Anyway I am sorry for your loss - it really is a hard thing to go through but something drives us to move forward xx
