To get the worry and concern out of your system, I would talk about it with your RE. The egg can last from 12 - 24 hours, I think, and the sperm can last up to three or so days. I felt like I was ovulating before I had my trigger, and I spoke to the clinic, and they said no, it was just the drugs I was using, and that made me feel better. We have to have confidence in our doctors, otherwise we feel it is just a waste of our hopes, time and money. For me, the IUI was to be around 36 - 42 hours after the trigger, but it depends on your own situation maybe. To clear the air, I'd definitely ask him, as you want to have faith that he knows what he/she is doing.
Good luck!! I'm trying for my third child - was very successful with IUI for my first two, and am 6dpo.
usually 36 hours in the minimum time for an IUI. but BD if you want to stop stressing.
I think you should be ok, but if you are concerned you should raise it with your RE, the egg is usually ok for up to 24 hours after it's released, and it is released about 36 hours after your shot. as sperm live for anywhere up to 5 days, you can inseminate any time from your trigger shot!
