You may have PCOS. Dr gives you metformin and/or Clomid to help with PCOS. Signs and symptoms of PCOS can be an irregular period (long cycles, not consistent etc...) excessive hair growth... it use to be thought that only women that were overt weight could get PCOS. Now they realize even people of a healthy weight or under weight can have it.  I am a healthy weight and have no other signs or symptoms except cysts on my ovaries.  It it's also genetic,  which is why you and your sister may have it.  I would go see a doctor and ask about it.  The good thing is that with the help of meds you can still hopefully have a  healthy baby.

Also if you are over weight it can help a whole lot just to lose weight.  Good luck! !!!
