ughh. need advice on OPK

Okay, so this is my first month trying an OPK and I'm getting anxious because I am now on CD 16 and still no ovulation, it keeps coming back negative. How am I supposed to get pregnant if I'm not ovulating?! Any of you ladies had the same problem? Anyone have natural/herbal remedies to make you ovulate without drugs?

thanks everyone. I came off the pill in Feb and my cycles have been sooo messed up. Since then, I've had cycles of 24,45,14, and 29!! My irregularity is the reason why I wanted to try OPK since it is just impossible to predict when I will ovulate. But I still have yet to have a positive OPK, and I've tested everyday since CD 11

You know, I've tried using this method, but I have complications since my husband has almost no sperm and motility is slow. I have mentioned a method that I was taught by my gynecologist during my first marriage. Try 12 days from the 1st day of your period and have daily intercourse for 1 week. But note to avoid sex prior to this week in order to increase sperm count. It really works if you have regular periods of 28 days and if the both of you don't have any medical problems that are causing a delay in pregancy. Wish you the best of luck..

To make sure I didn't miss my lh surge, I tested twice or three times/day starting day 10 or so (I usually get a surge day 12 or 13).  One day I tested negative in the am and afternoon and positive that night. So, it is possible to miss.  Good luck!

What is your usual cycle length? You will ovulate on day 14 if you have a 28 day cycle; usually the rule of thumb is : you ovulate 14 days before the last day of your cycle (for example day 21 if the cycle length is 35 days and so on)..
I mostly ovulate late - day 21 or day 22 since I have a long cycle. Are you tracking your BBT? that is a good way to find out when you ovulate...
