My wife is pregnant, and is on lovenos injections, and the nurse told her to use a piece of ice before/after the injection. It seems to work pretty well. She has been on them about 2 months and only 1 bruise. Also, she has been on them before, and bruised all over, so I think the ice actually helps. Good Luck!
Thank you ladies!! This is our first time giving injections, so I just wanted to make sure it was normal that I am bruised and sore. Don't get me wrong, I am happy to do it, I would do anything in the world to make sure that this baby is healthy and gets what it needs. Thank you so much!!
Some meds seemed to bruise me more than others. - I think that I knicked more blood vesseles in my stomach for some reason - of course if no one is going to see don't worry about it - they will heal.
Hi i took heparin injections when i did ivf, i had a circle of bruises on my tummy. My re told me to expect bruising. Sorry but hey once you get the bfp it will have all been worth it:)
I took lovenox for about four weeks after my D&C. To avoid bruises, try not to pinch the skin too much when you're doing the injection, and also NO rubbing after! The one thing that bugged the %$*# or me, though, was the little bumps I would get under my skin. Man would it hurt if I accidentally hit one of those bumps next time I was doing an injection!
Good luck to you!
oh yah and i forgot the injections wont ruin your belly. dont worry about it. but i agree even if it did i would have still done it. GOOD LUCK
i took menopur shots in my stomache and only once did i get a bruise. im a paramedic so this is only an educated guess. when you insert the needle your suposed to draw back on the syring if there is resistance your in the right place. If you see blood then you need to start over your in the wrong place. the time i got my bruise my DH didnt pull back on the syring so whos to say. but thats just what we are taught in school. I would say you might have just nicked a little blood vessel. its fine though the meds still get to where they need to be you just get a nice bruise.
