Anyone here have Esophyx surgery?

Hi. In searching the health tools pages, I came across this forum talk in 2010. http://www.medhelp.org/health_chats/archive/41?page=1

It is with a Dr. Elliot Goodman, bariatric surgeon with Beth Israel in NYC. He spoke about the Esophyx surgery as the newest Fundoplication surgery. However he said at the time that there was no info about effectiveness more than 2-3 years after surgery, because it was so new at the time.

It is now 2017. I was wondering if anyone here had this surgery, or knew someone who had it, and how they are doing?

Also, does anyone know this surgeon's reputation? Is he a good doctor, or someone who just likes to push surgeries for $$$?
