Stress and LPR, Do They Go Hand In Hand?

I've been suffering with LPR for a year and a half and I'm TIRED of it. I NEED my voice back so I can sing again. I have stress and anxiety problems and I feel like it's not just something that makes LPR get worse but perhaps it is the culprit! Do all of you LPR sufferers have stress/anxiety problems? I think it has something to do with the short breaths making the diaphragm tense plus all of the other tension and also indigestion all combined from stress/anxiety.

My diet doesn't make that big of a difference. I do lean towards stuff that is less reflux triggering but recently I stopped being so careful because it seems like if I binge eat delicious food it makes me less stressed which actually helps the reflux.

I have been on Dexilant and Nexium both of which did nothing, and Nexium made me feel disassociated.

I am well aware that stress/anxiety increase symptoms, but I want to know if it is a CAUSE.

@alexenterprise -  Yes stress can add to the symptoms of LPR or any Reflux/GERD to flare....

Have you modified your diet and lifestyle and are you on meds to help with this condition?
