symptom

Can GERD cause a feeling of an ice pick being thrust into your heart region?
I was diagnosed many years ago, but have NEVER felt this type of pain before.
Just wondering if that feeling could be caused by the GERD or gas...or if I should be worrying about something else.
I do have an arrhythmia...but not sure if that would cause this sort of pain.

Can't get in to see a cardio specialist as my doctor says it's only an arrhythmia...and around here you need to have a referral from your doctor to get in to see anyone other than him/her.

I'm surprised that I can still see a dentist or take my dog to the vet without a note from my doctor. lol

But I'll make an appointment to see him. I'll let you know in about 2 weeks ( as that's how far in advance you need to book )...wish they would go back to the "old " health care system that actually worked. Oh well, could be worse...lol
Thanks for that info.

Hi...since u do have some heart health issues, I would suggest u get it checked to make sure this is not a heart related issue...as it can feel  like it and sometimes it is gas, and sometimes it is the heart....so, to be safe get to ur cardio dr and post an update.
