How does your bottom look now? Is it still a mess?
Carli,
I'm glad you're going straight back to the surgeon. Ask him for a topical salve to help the soreness and healing, he can prescribe something stronger than over the counter stuff. Report back to us, and also send Cinti a message about what the doc says.

I have just had surgery for skin tags and Im the same. It just looks a complete mess, so painful, bleeding and with discharge. I have a follow up appointment on Sat to see the surgeon. Im just worried it will stay like this when the operation was supposed to help its just made it ten times worse.
All I can do is give you a couple things to do while you're waiting to see the surgeon. After a shower, you might try putting a little hydrogen peroxide on a damp tissue, and dabbing it on the area, it's a mild disinfectant and good for inflammation. You can then dab just a damp tissue to remove it, becuz sometimes the peroxide might sting a little. Then put KY jelly on the area, to prevent chaffing thru the day. Every time you use the bathroom, after wiping, gently dab the area with a damp tissue and apply more KY jelly with another damp tissue, or bring baby wipes with you to work instead of the jell.
If you have to sit a lot in your work or whatever, you can get one of those pillows with a donut hole in it, you can recover it so you can't tell the hole is there, folks who have hemorrhoids use them, and keep it in your chair that you sit in a lot. Also, again if you sit a lot, you might shake a little powder back there, to help keep dampness at bay.
If you start feeling really lousy, maybe notice a fever, or the bleeding gets out of control, of course get yourself to the emergency room. And I'm surprised your doc didn't draw blood to make sure you don't have a raging infection going on. Infection is always a problem after surgery, no matter how good the surgeon.
