what could this be-New to forum

Last week, I had a ct scan of the abdomen because my endocrinologist wanted to view my adrenal glands. Over the last 7 months, I have had a series of neurological issues that include tingling, numbness, internal tremors, and muscular type pain. I have been worked by up 2 neuros, rheumatologist, endo, PCP, ENT, cardiologist, ID, etc. The endo thinks that I could be developing Grave's Disease. As a result of this, she sent me for the CT scan of the abdomen. She called me on yesterday and told me that the test revealed a 4 cm non-specific mass behind my pancreas and in front of the aorta. I have not had any nausea, dizziness, constipation, etc. I have low Vitamin D and was dx with Epstein Barr virus. I also have an increased ESR. Please let me know what you think this could be.

Thanks,

Regina

My endo thinks that Graves could account for my eyes being dry and some minor neurological symptoms. She stated that this could even be part of a bacterial or viral infection. She was trying to get me not to think the worse. She told me that it is behind the pancreas and in front of the aorta in the abdomen. There are some infections that could cause some swelling at around the aorta and I am hoping for the best. Jason, this devastated me when she first told me. I have to go and see the surgeon Tuesday. I have been crying all day and I just want my life back.

I hope others can provide you some advice.  We have very similar symptoms, but of auto immune diseases, only suggestion made was Sjogrens (due to my dry eyes and dry mouth).  Graves didn't come up.

Did the Endo think that Graves could explain all of your symptoms?  or whether the mass you have could explain it?  My gastro Dr. wanted me to do a CT scan of this area because I've also had stomach problems that feel like ulcer or gastroparesis, but no evidence of anything wrong based on endoscopy.
