Consistent very "grainy" green yellow soft stool with occasional abdominal pain?

My adult son has for some time (months at least) had soft green to yellow "grainy" soft stools without a strong odor. He also has intermittent non specific abdominal pain. It looks nothing like normal stools, but no strong odor. He is an Iraq vet with PTSD and  anxiety. I have told him to go in to have it evaluated but he does not follow through, even though he is quite worried about it.

I am not sure what the cause might be, but I agree, he should get it evaluated.  Is there another vet that he knows and trusts that you could get help from to encourage him to get it evaluated?  Obviously, you don't want to embarrass him by talking about it with a ton of people, but sometimes a fellow vet is a lot better at convincing someone in these situations to go get seen.
