What dose considerable fecal distention involing the entire colon as visualized on the preliminary scout film of the abdomen mean and why did I have to picj uo the report myself to get this information should I seek a new doctor..

Thank you for responding, I am making an appointment with a gastro dr. today. This film was taken Dec, 14 and my abdomenal area is getting larger and i am  experincing gas, pain and a stretching feeling. I hope this Dr. can figure out the prob.

I don't know when this film was done, or when you were planning to see your doc again, but if the doc had the report for longer than several days, I would suggest you find another doc to work with - depending on what condition(s) you consulted him for in the first place and how long you've been working with this person.

This basically says that you're large intestine is larger than it should be due to what might be consided to be excess fecal buildup. This condition can result from a number of different things besides 'general constipation,' so you may want to investigate the situation further.
