Part of your problem from what you are saying is in your diet is that you are having ALOT of fiber. And while you may be cutting some of this out you need to drastically change your diet in order for diarrhea to stop. Things that i personally can recommend from experience is, eating white bread, drinking black tea [just strong tea without any milk or sugar] Something i used to eat when i was sick was a sandwich on white bread, Make up a small amount of mashed potato, mix in an egg yolk, don't worry you will not taste it at all. And then put in a small amount of fresh vegetables in aswell. I had a friend i met on here who was sick with me at the same time, eat it and it does help. One thing you need to remember is that prolonged diarrhea can be bad for your rectum mostly, because it cant take that amount of stomach acid passing through it constantly. Cut out juice and milk and keep drinking as much water as you can, because you will be loosing heaps.
IBS is in my experience a word that Dr can throw around when they dont know what is wrong with you, that doesnt mean it doesnt exist but it does mean always get a second opinion. Hope this helps a little bit if at all.
Hi Emma
Thank you so much for your helpful advice. The diarrhea has now stopped and I am now keeping a food diary of what I eat and my toilet habits so that I can keep an eye on things. I think it is hard to get the balance right, but I have to say that I will definitely not be having the fibre overload - I have learnt my lesson!!
Take Care!!
Great to hear hun! Ive been doing the same thing myself for the past year. It really helps, sometimes things change, sometimes you can be affected by something sometimes nothing at all. A great thing to also do is to write down the things that make you feel better. Things on how to handle it best when you do get a reaction. This also helps your deal with the symptoms. If you have any problems feel free to inbox me anytime id be happy to help out. :)
