Can anyone help? please

I am a 29 year old female. I am 16 weeks pregnant.
Over the past couple of months I have noticed when having a bowel movement sometimes they are very dark. Not black, but very dark. Other than the color.. the size, shape, and how often I go is the same. Also I have no pain.
I have anxiety and have done some research and am convincing myself I have an ulcer or colon cancer.
Meds I am on are.. effexor( have been on it for 2.5 years), a baby aspirin daily(again, been on it for 2.5 years), lovonox (been on it for a little over a month), and a prenatal vitamin with stool softener.

If anyone can offer advice, support, anything it would be greatly appreciated!

Hi - if your motions are blackish and tarry then this indicates intestinal bleeding.  The medical name for this type of motions is MELENA - you may want to type it into google/yahoo etc to learn more.

Of course maybe the medications you are taking could be responsible - however, I think you ought to ask your doctor for a diagnosis - and ask him/her "are you 100% sure that I don't have something that causes melena?"

regards
Morecambe.

I am not under weight but I definetly don't eat enough/right
and I have researched online and that just scares me into thinking I have cancer or an ulcer...

I am not a doctor, but once our son was having dark stool and the pediatrician said that he was underweight, he wasn't eating enough.  He needed to eat more.  Im not saying this is your problem, but something to think about.
