Please help

My daughter is 14 years old and since March she has been vomitting and having bad pain behind right rib cage and in her back.  She has lost about 25 pounds. She has had an ultrasound,catscan,upper GI, scope, colonoscopy, 2 hidascans, allergy test and several blood works and still no diagnosis.  I have had to call 911 twice because her pain is so bad.  The gastro specialist has had her on Aciphex, phenergan, Loritabs and Torodals nothing helps.  She is scheduled to have a Gastric emptying scan soon and an appointment with a OB/GYN. I just would really like and answers or suggestions on what i should do next.

It sounds like her gastric emptying study is profoundly abnormal. The two approaches that have been used if agents like Reglan fail have been gastric pacing or removal of part or all of the stomach. Be sure to check out the physician thoroughly if you seek a second opinion as very few are experienced in treating this problem, especially in children. This would require an opinion at a tertiary care center.

first one 75% and second one 71%.  gastric emptying scan done aug 9th said 65 to 70% retention of activity emptying half time approaching 7 hrs.  doc said she needs surgery and is now taken reglan 4 times a day. i will be getting a second opinion.
