For several months I have had several symptoms that are generally associated with a gallbladder problem, but after looking further I feel like I might have something different. I have not gone to my physician yet because I have a terrible problem with expecting the worse and so I continue to postpone arranging doctor's appointments with that fear. I have had diarrhea with mucous for several months, I have sharp painful stomach cramps practically daily, I generally have a feeling of nausea which is especially worse immediately after eating. There have been several nights I have woken up to the sound of my stomach churning, which a doctor has told me before was my stomach digesting, but I feel like it should not be happening as often as it does. In addition to those symptoms I also have disgusting belches on a fairly regular basis as well, usually AT LEAST once a week. I've had 3-5 instances in a 2 year span where I have felt an enormous amount of pressure in my chest under my ribcage and a shortness of breath because of it. I know that many women develop gallbladder issues after childbirth, and I have a 2 year old which is why I originally believed that to be my problem, but I have not read anything online about some of those symptoms and I was wondering if it could be something else. I have every intention of going to my doctor about this, I just would like an idea of what I might expect to hear from her. Also, on a side note, I am 25 and a fast-food restaurant manager, which naturally means I do not lead the most healthy lifestyle....I wondered if those late night greasy meals at work could be a trigger if it is a gallbladder attack, I know either way they are not something I should be indulging in.
