Random pain in the left flank and itchy skin.

Since many years I had occasionally some mild pain in the left flank a few cm under the ribs.

now it's more frequent and the skin on the left flank and sometimes the belly left to the belly-button gets very itchy I scratch and it goes away. what could it be?

Prealbumin will be a good test to see whether you are malnurished and it is a good thing to check if your albumin is off.  It could be something wrong with your spinal cord, but I don't really know much about that.

thank you I'll check that when and if I'll solve the other problems. the only link I could think of between the two issues is that maybe a neuropathy of the bowel has affected the absorption of proteins!

I had never heard of pre-albumin before, Transthyretin, why do you ask?

I have never been constipated, although I am not sure yet but it seems that  there's something wrong with the spinal cord maybe Myelitis. can it be related with the rest of the symptoms? thanks!

Have you had your pre-albumin checked?  Are you ever constipated?

thanks!

yes actually years ago after bowel movement I would get lumbar pain for some minutes. it seems to have become a bit more relaxed I am not sure. a few months ago I started having intermittent rectal pain.

I did stool test and there were some undigested muscular fiber and low PH. Albumin has been a little under the limit for the past two years at least, I thought of bad absorption of meat?  stool appears to be regular I don't seem to have Colitis and no stomach symptoms.

I don't have nausea but in the past couple of years I have become clearly more sensitive to vomiting when eating and drinking a lot...
