Small Intestine operation

My 23 days old newborn baby girl was operated on small intestine blockage and surgeon had removed 13" of small intestine 15 days back. She still have green vomit through NG tbe and not taking any feed.
X-ray shows there not any more obstruction. What could be the cause and when should she start feeding and should stop green bile through ng tube.
She even has passing stool of green in color.

Pls discard the word "Vomit". but there is green bile coming from ng tube. Yesterday Surgeon took her x-ray report which shows air in the intestine. Which He said that there is not any physical obstruction in the intestine. but it may be a functional obstruction that still getting green bile through ng tube. Baby not taking any feed at all since her birth. I am confused and want to know how many days to take small intestine start work after operated.

I am so sorry for your babies trouble.  I think you need to sit down with the doctor and ask questions.  Write them down so you will remember.  Ask about the prognosis and all the questions you have.  Most of us only have had bowel resection ourselves and babies are different.  My grandson did have bowel blockage at 10 days old.  However, when the surgeon took the bowel out (it had turned purple) it unkinked and he didn't have to have resection.  He is now 17 and doing fine.  Best of luck to you with your baby.  We will pray for her.  But you need to make an appointment with the doctor and ask all your questions.

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  You need to be patient waiting for people to answer your questions because we are just volunteering our time to help out.  I'm confused when you say she is having green vomit through her NG tube because usually vomit comes out through the mouth and not through the tube.  Can you explain a little more what is going on?
