Sudden urge for BM with Racing/Pounding Heart

I occasionally get an urge for a bowel movement that is accompanied by a racing/pounding heart (~120 -150bpm).  It's almost as if my body revs up and goes into "overdrive" and the urge is sudden and puts stress on the elimination part. Sometimes I get sweaty, shakey and feel like I'm going to pass out. I don't think it's life threatening since I've occasionally had these bouts over the last several years.  Can someone tell me what would cause this type of episode?
