Hello, over the past 6 months I had days here and there when I wasnt feally that great, seemed like it was getting progressivley worse. Then about a month ago starting feeling bad a lot...just kind naseaus, then it hit about 3 weeks ago, felt aweful! tired, dizzy, naseaus, no appetite, bloated, etc. had an emergency scope done which revealed esophagitis and (4) linear, i.e. small non bleeding esophageal ulcers., immediatley I was put on prilosec twice a day and carafate twice a day until the recheck in 4 weeks.
During this time I lost 14 lbs. (I am a 28 y/o male, weighed 175lbs. very good shape, gym/sports everyday). and didnt really eat much for about 13 days, just crackers here and there, etc. I noticed I felt full, bloated and was burping constantly and assumed it was from not having much food in my stomach and the gases/acids building.
In the past week I have tried to start eating how I was prior to this happening, but have noticed that I am burping constantly immediatley after eating, feel full longer, and get very bloated... for instance yesterday I ate a 4 egg white omlete w/ american cheese and a 1/2 cup of spinach @ 9:30 for breakfast, then @ 11:00 am had a 16 oz. protien shake with 3/4 banana, 1/2 cup kefir and 8 cherries, then @ 2:00 p.m. had a roughly 1/4 cheeseburger sub... at which time I felt stuffed and the bloating/burping, etc. began horribly. Even @ 7pm roughly 5 hours later it was still going on!! every now and then it would feel like I'd burp up a little of the burger! didnt really eat the rest of the night..
My question is this, can not eating much at all, suddenly, for about 2 weeks, and starting ppi's/carafate (which I've heard can slow your digestion), cause temporary gastroparesis/delayed stomach emptying?
