What do I do?

For the last 3 years I have been living with a pretty intolerable amount of back pain, acid reflux, WEIGHT GAIN, bowel problems, and just within the last year I was diagnosed with Pancreatic divisum, and chronic pancreatitist.  I have undergone over 20 ercps.  To the point where I now have a stent in at all times for the next year, changed every 45-60 days, dependent on my body.  But after these stent changes I am in pain for 4-6 weeks, and this doctor doesnt seem concerned or worried.  I'm 28 and WORN OUT!!!  Tired of being in pain ALL the time. The pain increases at night and its any and all food that irratates me.  I'm sleeping very little and unable to maintain a job or be a DECENT parent? Thanks, ErinRaney

Well you have to think of it as the best treatment and not just a big surgery. Everything good has usually a bad road to get to it.

Wow 20 ercps. you can get pancreatits just from having one. Listen, check out having a total pancreatectomy islet cell transplant. ( tpict ) Its an amazing procedure that many people don't consider but trust me its worth it. I have cp and I am going to have it. My fiancee had hers removed and it a lot better now with hardly any pain at all. Its a big surgery but its way better than wasting time with stents and such.
