What should I do?

I had an abdominal ultrasound last week and the sonographer said that I had a fatty liver and an enlarged bile duct.  I also had an upper GI.  My tests results came back normal.  I researched reasons for enlarged bile duct and did not like what I saw.  I told my Dr. what the sonographer said and he told me to trust him and the radiologist.  What should I do?  I have been very anxious about it ever since.

Ask for a copy of the written report, and read through it. Find out what was written down.

I agree with CalGal.  The tech who ultrasounded my husband made comments about what she saw, but when I got the report, the radiologist didn't mention the same thing in the report (she was seeing calcifications in his aorta, I believe).  Since I worked at the radiology office where his ultrasound was done, I asked the radiologist about what the tech had mentioned.  He said that he saw the calcifications, and they were to be expected for my husband's age, and was not worth noting in the report.  There might be a similar explanation for what your tech thought she was seeing.
