Systemic Enzyme Therapy with a quality systemic enzyme will dissolve scar tissue that makes up your adhesions. SET is used widely in Germany and other East European countries as well as in Asia.  In the U.S. no MD will have ever heard of it.  These formulas are available over the counter in some health food stores.  Formulas that contain nattokinase are to be avoided.  Seek a formula with serrapeptase, which is  the enzyme secreted by silk moths to dissolve their cocoon.  The critical factors in SET are potency and consistent dosing.  Unlike digestive enzymes which are taken with food to aid digestion, systemic enzymes are taken between meals (an hour before or after any meal with protein in it) two to three times a day.  There is no contraindication with other pharmaceuticals EXCEPT anticoagulants like Plavix, Coumadin, etc.  The enzymes thin your blood by cleansing it of excess fibrin and necrotic proteins, so taking them with such anticoagulants would thin the blood too much.  There are only a handful of systemic enzyme formulas that really work, and some of them require taking as many as 9 capsules three times per day.  The formula I would suggest (and the one I personally use for control of inflammation and scar tissue from 4 back surgeries) is a product developed by William Wong, ND called Zymessence.  This product is so potent that it requires a dose of only 3 to 4 capsules per day. A 180 cap bottle will last 2 mos if you are taking 3 a day.  The cost is only $1.50 a day!  However, I suggest you build up to the recommended dose slowly (add a capsule every 2 or 3 days) so as not to shock you into an uncomfortable detox.  The enzymes go after exogenous proteins first (colon, blood) and will attack the scar tissue after it digests these other waste proteins first.  Make sure you drink plenty of water to assist your body in waste removal.  Remember, the body has memory.  After you have lysed away your abdominal adhesions your body will seek to grow more to replace what was removed unless you continue this protocol indefinitely.  Expect dramatic results in a just a few weeks.  I sincerely wish you well.  Here is more to read:  http://www.solutionstoaging.com/systemic_enzymes.htm

In addition to checking with someone about surgical intervention, you may want to consider trying a modality called visceral manipulation. It's uses osteopathic techniques to gently stretch tissues so that the restrictions imposed by the tight adhesions are relaxed and the organs can regain normal movement. You can check for practitioners of the technique at the IAHP website or call the Barral Institute for more information.

Adhesions are difficult to treat because they just cause more adhesions.  Find the top surgeon in your area and get a second opinion.  I wish you all the best and hope you can get some relief.
