If you haven't already, you can try this:
1. Breath test for Helycobacter pylori infection of the stomach. One of the most often infections, it goes with burping and bloating, which are not necessary very obvious.
2. Gastric emptying test. She eats a meal, prepared in hospital and containing contrast substance, then they take images to see, how fast the stomach is emptying.
3. Is she complaining about anything, anyone, school...I mean any psychic problem?
4. Where exactly she feels soreness, at which exact point of abdomen? Any heartburn? Burping? Bloated before she vomits?
5. Any change in bowel habit or stool appearance at times she has this vomiting?
What tests she had so far?
Hi
thanks for those suggestions I shall put to the paedatrician on thursday.
the pain is usually just to the left or in the centre of her abdomen usually. she hasnt had any problems with school, people.stress or psych problems at all prior to these episodes happening, I did wonder that myself at first but have checked all out with her and her school and everything is fine there.
I'm not 100% sure of what exactly all the test have been tested for but I know she has been tested for diabetes and has had exrays on her chest and stomach, she also has a heart murmur which has been checked out thoroughly.
I have been told by a friend to ask for a cat scan but I dont know if I should do that or not.
thanks
Just a suggestion..You may want to test for an allergy. i know several people who have gluten allergies and it makes you violently ill.
CT of abdomen could be an option, but I think she should have breath test and gastric emtying test done before. Before CT, an upper GI (x-ray with barium) shoul also be done.
Thank you Ishall put these to the paedatrician on thursday.
