I am having a problem because of other health issues. I have a family history of clotting, which meant a consult with a Hemo. I have a chronic pain condition (CRPS), which meant a consult with my Pain management doctor. After I complained his exam made me hurt for a week, he sent me to a psychologist to make sure this wan't pain from depression. After all of that, he gets deployed to Afganistan. (We are retired military, using a military hospital.) I am hoping that we won't be at square one again and this new surgeon will accept the letters and reports from everyone else.
My GI made this diagnosis over 2 years ago and told me I could wait since I did not have a violent reaction to the CCK. He said he would hook me up with a surgeon when I felt the need. This summer my doctors took my cholesterol too low and caused all kinds of health issues at the same time. (Insomnia, depression, hostility, hormonal issues, postmenopasual bleeding and this gallbladder flare) The week before everything hit the fan my total cholesterol was down to 105. I really think it had dipped below 100. I am convinced the Vytorin damaged my already damaged GB. This flare has been going on since the middle of June . The doctors are not willing to believe my theory.

Thank you so much for your input. I too have sporadic pain. After my Hida scan my primary immediately wanted me to go to the surgeons office. Why do u think that you are having such a hard time fining a surgeon to take out your gallbladder.
Surgery is the method of taking care of this problem. I have suffered with biliary dyskinesia for over 20 years. I am trying to get a surgeon to remove mine. My attacks were sporadic over the years but have become chronic this year.
I am so tired of being in pain and waking up with the feeling of having a knife stuck in my back.
