fat intolerance - strange symptoms

I am a 38 y. o. musician and I enjoy a healthy lifestyle ( balanced diet + daily exercise). My health is good except for a recently diagnosed ulceration + nodules found in the duodenum. My gallbladder was removed 15 years ago due to the presence of stones. I am otherwise very healthy and lean, and when I was checked for food allergies it was determined that my only allergy was seafood. But about 3 months ago I started noticing that I was not digesting fatty food properly anymore, even good fat like olive oil. As little as one tea spoon of flax oil will trigger an attack. My symptoms are perplexing : about 5 to 10 mn after ingesting something fat my heart starts racing ( 130 to 150 bpm for 3 to 10 mn depending on the quantity of fat) , then I feel very dizzy and nauseous. Usually people suffering from fat intolerance feel bloated, develop a rash and get diarrhea, but my symptoms are different. I am loosing weight ( 108 lbs for 5'5" ) and feel fatigued all the time. None of the 3 doctors I have seen so far gave me a satisfying answer, all they did was give me anti acids. The blood tests show that I do not have celiac disease, IBS or acid reflux, and my stools are normal. Please let me know if you have ever heard of this type of fat intolerance. Thank you

Actually, i found out that the culprit was Tyramine, and i posted this a few months after the post you read :

I am still a very careful eater as i have to avoid aged foods as much as possible, especially on an empty stomach, otherwise i still get the same kind of hypertensive crisis that i described in my 2010 post.
What type of foods make you react and what are your exact symptoms ?

I know this post is old, but I am having exactly the same symptoms. Has anyone had any luck medically, homeopathically, expirementally or otherwise? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have fat intolerance and lactose intolerance, and am fine if I eat only rice, and plain fruit and veggies, and fish that is white in color like cod.  I can eat most cereals, and fat free, lactose free milk.....  I add vegetable bullion for flavor. A main concern is malnutrition.  You can get fat free protein powder at health food stores.  take B-12, b complex, iron , magnesium, potassium, calcium, and dry D,E.  I also take a mufti-vitamin.   It would be nice to talk with someone who also has this problem. My doctors seem to kno nothing about it.

Blood tests are not the best way of finding out whether or not celiac is present. Look into having a fecal antibody test done. Check out enterolab.com for details. Many with celiac disease have found it can be more reliable than either the blood test or the endoscopy. And you don't have to have large changes in bowel habits to have celiac. There are many other presentations of this problem.
