1. DUODENUM (BIOPSY): DUODENAL MUCOSA WITH MILD VILLOUS BLUNTING
AND PROMINENCE OF INTRAEPITHELIAL LYMPHOCYTES. SEE NOTE

NOTE: Intraepithelial lymphocytosis is etiologically nonspecific and
can be associated with celiac disease, gluten-resistant sprue
(so-called "Refractory Sprue" and tropical sprue), H. Pylori
gastritis, various viral infections (including cytomegalovirus),
Crohn's Disease, and microscopic (lymphocytic and collagenous)
colitis, among others. Correlation with pertinent clinical and
laboratory features is suggested.

CHRONIC GASTRITIS. NO HELICOBACTER PYLORI ORGANISMS ARE IDENTIFIED ON
DIFF-QUIK STAIN.

Please follow-up on the fact that you may have celiac issues. That condition can present itself in a number of forms including GERD-like, food sensitivity, lower abdominal discomfort, etc. You may want to consider doing a gene test to verify the genes you're carrying for the presence of celiac disease or gluten-sensitivity. If present, take all wheat, rye and barley from your diet.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi, the gastric biopsy shows evidence of chronic gastritis, which at present is not active. The duodenal biopsy shows intraepithelial lymphocytosis. Lymphocytes are white blood cells which are present when there is an infection. But they can be present due to various conditions listed. Your doctor may treat you for H pylori infection to see if your symptoms resolve. Good luck with your therapy. Regards.
