if colonoscopy is neg. ur gonna be OK. There are many possible causes. If you are losing weight and apetite, then you should be more concerned. If colonoscopy is good and pain continues, reply here and I might have some ideas how to eliminate or ease the pain.good luck.

If than bump in your arm really was a lymphoma, then it is possible you are prone to develop lymphomas on other places - one is SMALL intestine. Contrast x-ray investigation of small intestine or capsule endoscopy may show more.

There are fat lump (lipomas) and tumors of lymphatic nodes (lymphomas). Both of them may appear in the small intestine. This may be seen by capsule endoscopy (you actually swallow a capsule with a camera, which can take images of entire small intestine). Classic upper endoscopy (which you seem to had) is by that tube . endoscope which they put through your nose, into esophagus, stomach and duodenum - so only to the first part of small intestine. This classic endoscopy is not enough for diagnosis of lymphomas.

With colonoscopy only the large intestine - rectum and colon may be checked.

no pills can gain or even hold your weight if you got cancer. good luck in colonoscopy and keep us informed.

I haven't answered clearly.

For finding lipomas/lymphomas you need capsule endoscopy or contrast (barium) x-ray investigation of the small intestine, not colonoscopy.

Hardly answer on this. End decision is yours, but doctor should explain you why he decided for colonoscopy, and what he will look for.

If you ask me, I would go this way:
1. capsule endoscopy - this is to check your small intestine. Only if this would be negative I would continue with
2. colonoscopy.

But, you can do one investigation at the time - so 1. one first, and wait for results, before any other investigation.

Proteins stay in the stomach for a long time, since they are digested there. If you drop all animal food (meat, eggs, milk), your stomach will empty much faster. This may help.

Also avoid fibers (fruits/vegetables) which may yield a lot of gas.
