I've already had my gall bladder removed years ago (full of tiny little sand-like stones).  I recently had another attack that required me to go to the ER, which I was sure was Pancreatitis (I'd had it before due to the stones before the gall bladder was removed).  It didn't show up in my blood work as Pancreatitis.  The ultrasound showed that my ducts were dilated - what could cause this sort of thing?  I was very nauseated, low-grade fever, and that excruciating pain that goes into your back like a wave over and over.  This went on for 2 days before I finally agreed to go to the hospital.  I am still waiting for a specialist to call me to have a MRCP of the abdomen area (it's almost been a week and still haven't heard anything).   I find that most times when I eat it causes a problem with pain starting in that area.  Of note; my bio dad died of stomach and liver cancer.

So the question really is...what causes pain, nausea, and the Pancreatic ducts to dilate

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  Pancreatic cysts are often asymptomatic but they can become infected.  Are you having any symptoms?
