i really feel for you as i have just been diagnosed with a 35mm hemangioma on the liver , i am petrified of the thought of them saying i have cancer. i am waiting for a mri scan and will have to wait 2 weeks for an urgent appointment as they have got a backlog of work . i havnt eaten much since monday and feel physically sick i am so scared ,i was told that they are usually genetic and most people have had them since birth but i feel thats not right with me as i have had 4 children and had numerous scans in the last few years over different things and it was never found thats y im worried .i dont think any1 understands how we feel but i think the word tumour itself is scary as people associate it with cancer, i hope u will be ok and understand how your feeling take carex
Hi, I have a hemangioma that is 6.5cm and the dr said we don't need to do anything about it. not even monitor it. I THINK WE SHOULD keep an eye on it to see if it grows anymore> what advice can anyone give me? they found it on a ct scan in aug and at that time it was FIVE POINT SIX CM but they told me it didn"t really change??
can anyone shed some lighton thsi for me???
thanks bio!
I have 1 hemangioma on my liver which is less then a cm. My doctor said they do not worry about them unless they are 5cm or larger. Yours seem to be pretty large. Surgery is probably best, but if you would feel better getting a second opinion, by all means get one. They can interfere with other organs in your body when they get so large. You can survive with a portion of your liver removed. Your liver does regrow itself.
