strictures of the esophagus

i have a 4 yr old daughter that awoke screaming one nite vomiting and had ulcers in her mouth and lesions on her lips, we rushed her to the er she was diagnosed with stomititis and tonsilitis in december 07 she has also had a slight case of diahrea since september 07, after treatment she continued to complain of stomach pain, she was prescribed prevacid for the stomach pain, after a couple of weeks she begain to vomit when she tried to eat so her doctor put her on liquids, after another week she began to vomit constant but seemed to always be alot of mucus, she was readmitted to the hospital she had an endoscopy they found a stricture just above the stomach in the esophagus in which they dialated also said it was bloody and raw looking, was then diagnosed with dysphasia they put a feed tube in for two weeks and rechecked via endoscopy the second time they found a new stricture in the upper portion of the esophagus in the process of trying to dilalate the strictures they perforated her stomach, they had to go in and repair the stomach and now are wanting to replace her esophagus with part of her colon. this really has me concerned. Do you have any suggestions thoughts or comments that could possibly help? I suggested maybe Mastocytosis, but none of the team of doctors seem to think so. Please help

yes biopsies of the esophogus have been taken, and a pathology report was taken, they are suspecting that she ingested something with lye in it that caused the strictures and she has been diagnosed with dysphasia

Do you have any diagnosis as to the process that is causing the esophageal problems? If you don't, I'd really suggest you consult with another doc, hopefully an experienced pediatric GI person before making any kind of condition.

Were biopsies of the esophogus and stomach taken? Was a pathology report given?
