First appointment tomorrow?

Ever since I was younger it's hurt too poop on my period and recently I've had sharp pulling pains and also pain in my right side and sciatic pain. It hurts to push all of the time now and I started taking my birth control continuously and the symptoms have been better especially the bloating. My first appointment with my GP is tomorrow and I'm so scared. I developed panic disorder last year from battling a heart arrhythmia and getting it fixed and now I have a fear of getting told bad news and tests. I'm only 20 but I think they will find something really bad. What happens your first appointment and what can I expect?

With your GP not much. If you are having bowel pain she most likely will send you to a gastrologist which in turn after meeting her will send you to get a colonscopy which in turn most likely will be diagnosed with IBS.....Be prepared for that. Unfortunately this is what usually is done so they can narrow out bowel disease.

If you read my journals I have a couple regarding bowel/rectal pain with bowel movements.

What I can suggest is not think the worst. I know that is easier said than done but there is nothing you can do if there is something wrong or if there isn't. You have to take it in strides and work day by day trying to get back to who you were before this pain started.

Please read my journals and let me know if you have anything in common with what I have written. I think the bowel info I might have put on the one that is called "Endometriosis and migraines"
