I forgot to mention that the insition looks open but the doctor said it is only openfrom the outside? what does that mean? I know this is late but I figure someone else will be reading this and can use the info.  I had drainage with my first c-section.  I didn't know what it was so I went to the ER. My doctor said that she thinks I was allergic to the glue that they used.  So the next c-section we did not use glue and everything was fine.  She also said that drainage is very common and to clean it and keep something over it.  I would do a sanitary pad on it and put the sticky part on my underwear so it would not move.  Everything was fine in a week and I keep going to the doctor for them to check it.

Hi there sweetie, it must be very frightening for you.  I understand as I had many problems with my c-sections.  The thing to remember here is that it's your body and you need to have your mind put at rest because your baby needs you to be well.  You are quite within your right to go to the ER and get a second opinion as you definately don't want infection in the wound.  Please don't hesitate to get immediate help as if your wound is coming apart or infected you need to be treated straight away.  I know some draining of the wound is normal but it should not still be bleeding or looking like it's "coming apart." after two weeks.  Remember that the ER have pain medication they can give you if they need to do anything on your wound so try not to worry about that.  All the best.
