cant eat without feeling sick

Ive been stressed out for a week but even before i wasnt able to eat without feeling sick, even now, I still cant eat without feeling sick. The limit of food i can eat in a day is just a bowl of soup. I have no medical insurance but its getting to the point of me being afraid of what's wrong and wondering if i should get looked at soon.

We need to eat a certain amount of food, and if we don't our bodies will go into starvation mode, and we will feel sick, causing us not to want to /eat, which only makes the problem worse. Try eating something high in protein every 3-4 hours, like a piece of cheese, hard boiled egg, nibble on fruits/veggies, or a meal replacement drink, and watch to see if you feel less sick.. You mentioned that you are stressed out, and that does make some people feel sick and not want to eat. Try and find some time to relax, self soothe with something that you like doing, look after yourself physically and mentally. If it doesn't work, then decide if you want to see a Dr or a counselor.

I forgot to tell you...the clinic or the hospital will do everything in their power to help you get MediCal coverage. They will fill out the forms, submit and follow up on them, and they know exactly how to get approvals.  Andy

Nicole, go to a local health clinic. you'll have to wait in line with a hard part of society, but the clinicians will be very happy to help you.  if you are getting that sick, that often, it is a serious medical issue that must be addressed.  you will probably be referred to a gastrointestinal specialist ( an Upper GI man) I take Phenergan 25ml. to hold down my food and many medications, and it works well.  If you are getting sick to your stomach ALL THE TIME, you must seek medical attention.  If you go to a CITY HOPSITAL ER, they have to take you regardless of insurance. if your zip code is 92390 I assume your in southern California.  UCSD HILLCREST AND SCRIPPS MERCY HILLCREST are both city hospitals. I wish you the best.  Andy
