Foot pain, is it plantar fasciitis or something else?

Both of my feet started hurting a couple months ago after wearing old worn out shoes. I’m assuming wearing the shoes started the pain, I can’t think of anything else that could have triggered it. (I stopped wearing the shoes when my feet started hurting.) The bottoms of both of my feet hurt enough that if I have been on them for even a short amount of time it is very painful to walk or stand. It’s the whole bottom of my feet that hurts, but especially the balls of my feet and toes. They hurt even when I am not on them, especially when I wake up. Walking first thing in the morning is very painful as well. The pain improves if I stay off of them for the most part. Even just wearing enclosed shoes and sitting in a vehicle with my feet touching the floorboard hurts. I’ve been mostly wearing flip flops around the house since this started as my feet don’t hurt quite as much when I wear them. Does this sound like plantar fasciitis? Or something else? I’ve read that plantar fasciitis pain is supposed to be mostly in the heels, but none of the other conditions I’ve read about are an exact match either. Any ideas what’s wrong? And more importantly, how do I fix it?

(As a note, I also have some numbness and tingling in my toes (started in the last couple weeks I think), but I don’t know if it’s related to the foot pain or the other health issues I have, some of which include other unusual numbness and tingling.)

Hello~I suggest that you see a podiatrist or at least you GP, they will be able to tell what is going on and will probably take some x-rays.
