Will hydrocodone help me sleep after taking adderall this morning

I took an adderall this morning that my friend gave me (20mg time release); I had papers for Grad School to do, plus I work full time and she said it would help get me through the day and get everything done. It most certainly did but now its late in the evening and I still feel somewhat antsy and not very tired. I have some hydrocodone left over from a surgery I had several months back, if I took one will that help me sleep tonight? And is it at all dangerous to take after being on adderall all day?

Yes that would be definitely dangerous. Even though percocets are meant to help with pain, they do have an upper side to them that could potentially make it worse ( similar to doing a 'speed ball' ) which is very dangerous to your heart. The adder all has it spread up but with the percent it can slow it down so in simple terms your heart will be fighting with itself, and the Perc. Will def not make u tired. I would suggest taking some melatonin or Benadryl, Tylenol pm or something simpler like that. It has always worked for me

I would say most probably not - it would probably leave you wide awake and very numb, only to have the withdrawal effect from two medications instead of one.   Adderall is a mixture of Amphetamine salts, people that are accustom to taking this medication can sometimes fall asleep just as the medication reach's it's peak.  Being that this is not something that you take regularly, it's going to have more of a narcotic effect.

I would be very hesitant to take additional medications on top of Adderall for the reason that it's new to your body and combining uppers and downers is like playing "spin the bottle", and if you loose - the results could be fatal.  Imagine a seesaw that's perfectly in balance; it represents your body when it's operating as it's supposed to.  Adderall just sat on one end to push the balance in a certain direction.  Placing weight on the other end of the seesaw may, perhaps, restore "some" balance BUT - it could snap the seesaw in half - damage the hinge that it sits on - or weaken all parts over time, and that's the risk that people take with any substance consumed... only it seems all fine and safe at first because there's no accumulated damage and the benefit outweighs the pain.
