just a wonder

Hi, I recently was diagnosed with a swollen Lynphnode in my neck right below my jaw... Saw a specialist, he said it was just a salivary gland infection... He prescribed me Augmentin... Been about ten days now and I've noticed in the past 4-5 days after I have bowel movement... My anus hurts... I've already investigated somewhat... There isn't any unusual looking things... Just want to know if it is a side effect or what have you...  Thanks :)

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
The common causes of pain in  the anus after stools are anal fissure, haemorrhoids, diverticular disease, inflammatory bowel disease and colon cancer. A per rectal examination and colonoscopy will be helpful. Eat a high-fiber diet   and drink plenty of fluids and water to relieve constipation that can cause and aggravate hemorrhoids and anal fissures. Sit in warm or salt baths to relieve fissure symptoms. Treatment involves treating the cause of bleeding. See a doctor ASAP.Keep me posted.
Best luck and regards!
