Hello and welcome to MedHelp's forums. Thanks for your questions. So, your blood pressure is not controlled with this particular medication? That is surprising that your doctor is not worried about this. Perhaps this is a good time to seek a second opinion? This would be my recommendation. Please also remember that if you are approved for it, exercise works very well at helping to control blood pressure. The American Heart Association recommends even just walking for 3 minutes 5 times a week. Eating a health diet, incorporating the "DASH" diet which includes lowering your sodium may help. Is your weight within normal? These thing all add up to helping with hypertension as well. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/321523.php
Hello~what is your stress level, just possibly the fact that you are so anxious about your b/p is the reason it is not letting the blood pressure pills lower it. I would discuss this with him and/or seek another opinion.
Also, some blood pressure issues are due to pinched nerves, possibly seeing a chiropractor or osteopath might help as well.
