Thick dead skin on tip of toes for 1 year

I have now had thick layers of dead skin that is on the ends of my toes.

My shoes do not apply pressure here, I havn't changed shoe/feet habits, I wear open toed shoes all summer. I have no other rashes or excess skin growth. There are no pits in my nails and I am in good health. The dead skin is not necessarily dry, just dead. Very easy to see the dead skin after showers. Lighter color than the rest of my skin.

I have used cuticle clippers to clip off the dead skin, I have "filed" it off as much as possible like you can do with calluses, I have tried feet soaks that would kill anything fungle if there was something. If I remove the skin it is back in a couple days. I have seen two doctors about this and neither have any idea what it could be.

It is not causing any other issues. One possible exception is that my toe tips have gone numb but it is very slight and I have discussed this with the doctors as well.

Additional possibly related information: I tend to have dead skin on my lips as well. Not the dry flaky kind that everyone gets but thick(ish) (not thick like my toes) to the point that I can peel the skin off my lips. This sometimes results in bleeding. If I do not peel it gets thick and dead, and eventually forms that white stuff closer to my mouth where dead skin is damp and coming off. It is so thick I cannot feel my lips.

If there is a way to include pictures I would happily do so. It is hard to describe what I mean by dead skin without a visual.

Please help figure out what is going on with me!
