Go to the ER as soon as possible, or make an urgent appointment to see your doctor.

Although you feel it is in the spine and it may be that you have a spinal problem, especially if you have been lifting heavy items and exerting yourself, the problem may not be related to the spine at all.

Pain on breathing may be related to the lungs and you may have a lung infection like pleurisy.

Get checked out immediately so that you can then be given the correct treatment or advice.

Let me know how you get on.

Best wishes.

I agree, a visit to the ER is in order, I do not like the sounds of the symptoms.

You need a visit to an ER. This is probably insignificant, however this symptom is also a hallmark of a developing dissecting aortic aneurysm.
