inappropriate doctor exam

i went to a centra care for nausau and stomach pain.  i had a new doctor and went through the basics of him asking me questions and sinus pressure and so on. when he went to listen to my heart, i had an underarmor shirt on that was very thin. my usual doctor (female) would listen to my heart 1 from the back sometimes front and 2 ontop of my shirt, this doctor (male) lifted my shirt in back and proceded to lift my shirt in front running his hand up my stomach and to the top of my breast moving down to put his other hand on the underside of my bra beginning to lift and put the stethascope there until i grabbed his hand to stop him from lifting my bra.
this seemed extremely inapropriate to me and made me extremely uncomfortable. there was no female nurse in the room. was this inapropriate?

Hi I am a nurse....Im not sure if this was innapropriate or not but I can tell you that to listen the apical heart rate in females sometimes it is heard better to the side and towards the underside of the breast, I was taught this in clinicals. Some women with larger chests or if they are overweight sometimes require this position. Not sure if that helps you at all, but there is my two cents.

I have had this happen from both males and female doctors. I never gave it a thought as some doctors rather not listen over the clothes. will keep an eye out next time

Sounds questionable.  I know I would not return to him.  Usually, a nurse or assistance is required for pelvic examination, not for listening to your lungs, etc.
