Hello I don't know what your income is probably pretty low since your disability isn't in yet, but your local health department has prescription assistance programs that can get your meds free from the companies. Ours at the Health Dept is called the REACH PROGRAM.
We also have a company here called GRADD- Green River Area District Development . The only difference in the 2 is that the Health Dept you have to see their doctor and at GRADD you can see any doctor. Both can get MOST Drugs not all. Both are income based.
Also try to always have the doc prescribe meds that are on Walmart, Walgreen, CVS, or Kroger's 4 dollar plans. Their lists are online or you can get paper lists from the stores.
I recommend calling your local Health Department and inquiring about Prescription Assistance Programs there and others in your city.
I HOPE THIS HELPS. Good Luck

You can also google the names of the meds you are on, go to the company websites. Sometimes they will offer what they call "drug programs" these are to help people who cannot afford the meds. Sometimes they have a small copay and sometimes they will send you free samples of the drugs. Your doctors can help with samples until you get coverage, be sure to check with your state Medicaid office asap, you should be able to get some assistance there.
I'm not sure how long it takes to get a reply, it's either 3 or 6 months. You may get turned down the first time and if you do then get a lawyer. Have you applied for Medicaid yet? If not, you need to do that right away. Talk to your Dr about getting samples of the meds you need. Contact the companies of your meds and apply for free or reduced meds. I hope this helps. Remar
