persistent fever (low)

I started having fever about 3 weeks back with swollen tonsils and ulcers. I was diagnosed strep throat and started taking medicines but after 4 days, my fever went up to 105-106 range. Test results showed no strep throat, flu, swine etc.
I rushed to emergency and they diagnosed me for Pharynogontonsillitis. For a week before I went to emergency I barely could swallow anything. I grew weak and they gave me Glucose by drip and also Decadron. Next day onwards (after abt 10 days) I started feeling better. Fever was going away and so were ulcers. On tuesday I started goto work too.

But since Saturday week ago I am having this low grade fever everyday. It grows if I exert. I have it for a week now. I try to eat as healthy as possible. Is this normal after acute tonsollitis infection. I am really worrried...

Thanks and regards,
Harry

Thanks a lot Sassy. Yes I started exerting myself like going to mall and eating out etc. and fell ill again with this low fever. I have been eating lot healthier but will def buy propolis and the other herb you mentioned.
I feel better today(no fever, thank god !!!) for the first time in 7 days. May be I got some other virus????? which disappeared in a week by itself.

It appears to me that it could be a low grade infection. Did you take the series of antibiotics as prescribed? Did you do complete bed rest for the prescribed amount of time? I know some folks, when they feel the least bit better, will over do it and the infection will try to come back. Take it easy, drink lots of water and eat a well balanced diet, also, add extra Vitamin C, Vitamin D, the herb Echinacea, and Bee Propolis to your supplement regime if you take them, if not, I would highly recommend you start, they are so important for keeping the immune system healthy.
