Exactly :) The same thing happened to me with both my arm surgeries, and when I was diagnosed with PCOS. I always end up getting so worked up for nothing. Now, when the doctor calls, I try to take a deep breath and tell myself that everything is going to be okay.
Hi there!
I think EmmyJN's answer was very good and quite accurate. Every doctor is different but if one finds anything different for a change - even something relatively minor - they will want a face to face visit. Once, on a weekend visit to the beach, I began to feel badly/oddly. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with me and it got much worse by the time I got home. I discovered my doctor had left a message for me. I was so paranoid by this time, I wouldn't listen to the message! The next day, she called and I answered. As it turned out, my thyroid had stopped functioning. I just needed to take a small pill each day. I hung up and cried from relief! Here I put myself through all that for nothing. Even if it had been 'something' .. we usually make it so much worse on ourselves than it is ... You take care and let us know how it goes if you would like! ~ 4slenderthread ~
My doctors always want to see me after I have blood work ran, whether something has changed or not. Sometimes doctors just want to talk to the patient face-to-face instead of telling them stats ove the phone. It also could have something to do with Hippo Laws.
As far as something being wrong, that depends on what you got blood work done. For example, if you got a white cell count, you will get different results when compared to a person who got a liver pannel. The results also vary depending on your current symptoms or standing conditions that would propt the doctor to run the blood test in the first place.
Don't worry, though, it's most likely nothing. You'll be fine :)
